Hello, again. I am enjoying the new year, and so far I have been keeping up with my goals. I have set up my youtube account, & posted my first two videos. Granted they are two parts of the same video. I wanted to make a clay pendant, and I had a face I had molded and sculped, plus a faux stone I made out of polymer clay. I put them on a sheet of scrap clay and went to work making the hair, out of the extra bit of scrap clay. I did not know what I was going to do at that point, but I ended up putting the clay through an extruder and making long skinny snakes out of it. I put those snakes over the bits of clay that I had as hair prior. It took a lot of work to make the hair, but I like how it turned out. I put the piece in the oven, and oops. I forgot to set the timer so the face and faux stone came out overcooked, or burnt. So now I had to think of a creative way to fix my piece, but first, I rolled out some more of the scrap clay, and made a backing, adding a bail to the piece and ...

Work In Progress...

I had sketched a face out on a canvas months ago.  Probably 3 or 4 months, it's been sitting on my wall staring at me. The other day I looked up at it and thought hmm. I really don't like how it came out.  Then I went to work changing it. I changed her hair, made her into an elf, and added trees to t he background. I happened to glance over at the rolling cart with my paints on it wondering what colors I wanted to use. The stencils sitting at the top of the cart inspired me so I randomly grabbed one. I thought to myself, what in the world am I going to do with this. My intuition spoke to me and the bright pink paint was practically yelling at me to use it. A brand new bottle that I had never opened. So I decided, alright let's do it. This is what came out of it. Now on my day off, I am wondering what's going to come out of this. Sure I could paint over the stenciled weirdness, but I have to admit. I love weirdness, and I always try to follow my intuition. So...

Hello World!

My name is Jen. So it's almost the end of December, and I decided to get a jump start on my new year's resolutions. That is to start blogging and posting youtube videos and getting more organized. I have been thinking about doing so for a long time. I just recently pulled out my camera and recorded a few things. Though I need better lighting and a better camera. I will use what I have until I can purchase better. I currently work 3 days a week and work an extra day every other week. I decided, since the other person needed the money more they could take that day every week, and I could dedicate it to doing things I have been wanting to do. I have never, ever made new years resolutions in my 42 years of life. So this is new for me. It is also something I really wanted to do. So I started this blog, got my youtube channel set up, and I will be starting a bullet journal so I can get more organized. I know it is a few days early to start my resolutions for 2018, but why not?  On...
